Our new district governor is Pam
Kerr. Pam was the 2003-2004 president of the Rotary Club of Wilmette
Harbor. Governor Pam also served her club as membership chair, club
service chair, secretary, club foundation chair, and, of course, a board
member. For the district, she was an assistant governor and outbound GSE
coordinator for the Japan 2006 team.
Thanks to PDG Mike Erickson for
coming last week to present us with our presidential citation. There were
6 requirements for this:
Membership: Increase membership by 1 (we increased by
10%!), and we reported our new members promptly as required (Thanks, Barry).
Club service: Our incoming officers went to PETS, 2
members attended the zone conference; all club activities involved multiple
club members.
Vocational service: all new members received copies of the
4-way test and a handbook, and several members are in trade associations.
Community service: these included our support for
NICASA, our literacy project, the teen driver safety program—banners, golf
carts, alcohol-simulator glasses, support for 3 Guys and a Truck, July 4 race,
support for St. Malachy’s, the DHS robotics team, and
others.

application and sent a member to
